Non-Executive Director: Miriam Madafi

She has over 28 years’ experience as a Health Care Professional,having worked in various capacities in the Nursing field both in Zimbabwe and the UK. She holds a Diploma in General Nursing from Harare Central Hospital, Diploma in Midwifery from Chitungwiza General Hospital, Certificate of Higher Education- Emergency Nurse Practitioner- University of Brighton (UK), Certificate of Higher Education Edward Jenner- Quality for Leaders- University of Brighton (UK) and a Master of Science – Advanced Practice – Nurse Practitioner- Adult University of Surrey-Guildford, UK.

Non-Executive Director: Obey. A. Mashayahanya

He has over 10 years’ experience in Sales and Administration, Inventory Control & Administration, Credit Management. He has previously worked for Motor Action as Sales Executive and Inventory Controller. He has worked for Wisrod as a Credit Officer, and as Market Development Officer. He holds a degree in Economics from Bindura University of Science & Technology, Post graduate Certificate in Credit Management from UZ, and an MSc in Strategic Management degree.

He has over 12 years’ experience in General Management, Lending & Credit Management, and Financial Services Operations Management. He has previously worked as a General Manager for Lolack Investments, (Mangwana Lodges), Credit Officer at Wisrod Investments, Operations Manager for Wisrod Investments, and as Country Manager for Mlatho Financial Services in Malawi. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Catholic University in Zimbabwe, and Certificates in Labour Relations and Human Resources Management from the Institute of Personnel Management in Zimbabwe (IPMZ)

Managing Director – Joseph. Z. Tore

Joseph is an experienced Microfinance Expert with strong analytical skills and over 7 years’ experience in the microfinance sector. He grew to be Head of Operations at Wisrod Investments, a microfinance company with 32 branches across the country after joining it at its inception. He set up the operations of Mlatho Financial Service, a registered microfinance company in Malawi. He also worked with the team at First Mutual Microfinance in setting up its operations.  He is a former Chief Operating Officer for Platinum Micro Finance, a microfinance company he joined at its inception stages, and he set up its operations and left it in the top 20 list of performing MFIs in Zimbabwe. His areas of proficiency are in Credit Risk Management, Credit Administration and Portfolio Management for individual and SME clients. He has gained valuable experience in driving growth in loan portfolio and capturing sizable share of the market.

He holds a Master of Science in Finance and Investments Degree from National University of Science and Technology (Zimbabwe), and a BSc. Honours in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe. Attended Frankfurt School of Finance and Management (Germany) for training in various Lending related courses with specific focus on Microfinance and Risk Management. A trained Responsible Inclusive Finance (RIF) Practitioner – certificate obtained from Special Performance Task Force. Equipped with Effective Debt Collection Techniques certified by The Institute of Credit Management in Zimbabwe.

Finance & Administration Manager- Norman Zhakata

Norman is an experienced Finance professional with over 21 years in Finance, Accounting, General Management, and Project Management. He has vast experience in manufacturing, consulting & advisory, transport and logistics with companies in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Namibia. Companies he worked for included Flair Furniture (Pvt) Ltd, KSM Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, Yarona Management Consultants and Bravo Group Manufacturing.  He holds an MBA from University of Zimbabwe, is an Associate member of Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (Zimbabwe). He also has a BSc Economics degree from University of Zimbabwe.

Credit & Operations Manager - Tavonga P Mhembere

Tavonga if a microfinance expert who holds a combined 10 years’ experience in Microfinance, Banking and Finance sector with key competences in lending to individuals, micro to small and medium enterprises both in the private and informal sector. He is the current Credit and Operations Manager for Willbey Solutions responsible for Credit, Operations, Business Development and Risk Management.


Tavonga is a focused and talented professional with proven success in Credit, Risk Management, Portfolio Management, Debt Management, Corporate Finance, streamlining procedures and increasing organisational efficiencies. Over the decade he held various management and executive positions with the most recent being, Head of Risk at GetBucks Microfinance Bank Limited a Zimbabwe Stock Exchange Listed Entity where he oversaw the bank’s overall Risk Management, Credit and Compliance. Tavonga also rose through the corporate ladder from Loans Officer to Credit and Operations Manager of Jakana Africa Microfinance where he was part of the pioneering team that launched the institution. He also worked for African Century Limited under the Credit division.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Honours Degree in Banking and Finance, Certificate in Digital Money (Turfs University) and currently pursuing Master’s in Business Administration. He also went through various Microfinance training courses and conferences.
